
Alexander was born in Russia.
His early works have been exposed in numerous school art exhibitions and on national television.
In 1975 he graduated from the Moscow School
of Arts with the qualification of a visual artis.
At the same time he studied at the renowned Art Studio of Grekov and Stroganov Academy of Arts in Moscow.
After receiving a Master’s degree in Moscow in 1981 and being fluent in Russian, English, Spanish and Portuguese, Alexander traveled around the world, visiting exotic countries like Guinea-Bissau (West Africa), Peru and Cuba, where he spent almost 9 years. Close contact with the cultures
of these regions considerably influenced his artistic style.
A sense of dynamics, movement and colour dominates Alexander’s work. His oil-medium paintings are mainly in the Impressionist style.
He participated in many exhibitions in Russia, Europe, South and North America.
Now Alexander lives in Canada, traveling frequently overseas and working full-time at his studio, creating original pieces of art that are widely appreciated by collectors in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
The works of Alexander Sizov are in public and private collections in numerous countries including the U.K., U.S., Canada, Korea, Spain, Russia, Germany, Finland, France, Denmark, Japan, Taiwan and Turkey.
